<p><strong>EN:</strong> Sorry about the large image, and the lack of english text in this one. I&#8217;ve just copy-pasted from the presentation PDF. What this is is basically a media player. The white pebbles contains unique RFID-tags wich links to music albums stored in the player (if downloaded) or on the internet. The pebbles are meant to be differentiated in form and graphic expression, making each pebble a unique representation and trigger of a music collection stored virtually, thereby making organizing virtual music intuitive and physically understandable.</p>
<p>The player itself has got RFID-readers embedded. It will read the tags, and not less important, the position of the pebbles on the player.  That way you can organize playlists simply by placing the desired pebbles in a row, or you can play a handful of music collections randomly by just pouring them randomly on the board. The player detects wether the pattern the pebbles are in is random or intended by using algorithms. You can also mix and match different organizations (see the last figure).</p>

<p><strong>Ona har siden tidlig i sommer vÃ¦rt i bruk pÃ¥ KafÃ© Oslo. ForelÃ¸pige tilbakemeldinger fra brukere, bÃ¥de gjester og personale, er svÃ¦rt positive.</strong></p>
<p>Boksene er laget i varme- og slagbestandig ABS-plast, og de tÃ¥ler derfor hard bruk, restaurant-vaskemaskiner og varme- og dampskap.</p>
<p>Poenget med Ona er at restaurantpersonalet kan dandere retter direkte pÃ¥ serveringstallerkenen fÃ¸r lunsjrushet. Lokk settes pÃ¥, og de plasseres i et fuktighets- og temperaturregulert skap. NÃ¥r rushet kommer kan personalet raskt ta ut boksene, ta av lokket og servere det til sultne gjester. <strong>LÃ¸sningen er ekstra lÃ¸nnsom nÃ¥r serveringen foregÃ¥r langt fra kjÃ¸kkenet, for eksempel ved sesongavhengig uteservering.</strong></p>
<p>I dag stÃ¥r varm mat klar i bakker, og ved bestilling danderer personalet rettene pÃ¥ varme tallerkener. Ona fjerner behovet for dette ekstra leddet, noe som fÃ¸rer til bedre utnytting av arbeidskapasiteten, og mulighet for Ã¥ servere flere gjester pÃ¥ kortere tid. Tilpasningen til gastronorm-standarden gjÃ¸r at de passer inn i alle skap, oppvaskmaskiner og catering-kasser pÃ¥ markedet.</p>
<p>Ona rommer mye mat, men er allikevel slank. Kanten har en helling og en hÃ¸yde som gjÃ¸r at mat og saus holder seg pÃ¥ plass, samtidig som det er lett Ã¥ spise av den. BÃ¸lgen pÃ¥ midten skiller to retter, f.eks. kjÃ¸tt og poteter, men den heller nedover og har vid kurvatur, sÃ¥ mat eller saus enkelt kan skyves fra den ene til den andre siden. PÃ¥ sidene er hÃ¥ndtak for enkel servering.</p>
<p>Prosjektet er gjort i samarbeid med medstudenter <strong>Fredrik Bostad Olsen</strong> og <strong>Jan Christian Osnes</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>EN:</strong> My first design to actually be produced is the combined food container and serving plate Ona.</p>
<p>Ona provides a solution for serving good food fast in rush-hours, for instance during lunch. Both plate and lid are made in durable ABS-plastic, which handles professional dishwashers and high temperatures. The low heat conducting values of the material means that finished dishes can be served straight from a heated and humid cabinet, removing the need to move food from metal containers onto plates, thus allowing for faster service.</p>
<p>Ona has standard gastronorm dimensions, which means they fit perfectly in cabinets, dishwashers, trays and isolating containers in professional kitchens everywhere.</p>
<p>Veteran-chef and restauranteur Tore Namstad has ordered 250 sets which is used at KafÃ© Oslo in Litteraturhuset. Preliminary user reports, both from staff and guests, are very good.</p>

<p>Itâ€™s designed in cooperation with test persons suffering from repetitive strain injury (RSI) and other dexterity-related disabilities. The problem was to design an input device which could be used comfortably by as many as possible, while preventing strain injuries.</p>
<p>As many as 50% of scandinavians who uses computers in their work suffer from some sort of RSI. Most computer-related health problems are caused by monotone and repetitive movements when using a computer mouse, and made worse by the lack of variation in movement.</p>
<p>Nowadays we use computers for almost everything, and Notepad reflects that by being highly versatile and encouraging users to vary their working positions.</p>
<p>With Notepad you can sit back and relax while surfing the net, write like with an ordinary notepad, or lay it down flat in front of a keyboard to use it as an ergonomically correct trackpad.</p>
<p>Notepad merges the best from graphic tablets and trackpads, as you can choose to use your fingers or a stylus, and it adds gestures and customizable function buttons to personalize and vary the handling even further. Because itâ€™s wireless, you donâ€™t have to restrict yourself or your muscles to awkard working positions.</p>
<p>If you get a cramp from using the stylus â€“ use your fingers. If your neck gets tired from sitting crouched over your desk, sit back and relax. You could even use notepad as a remote control for your media computer or your powerpoint presentations.</p>
